A Team That Sticks Together

At Kimmin’s we take teamwork seriously and know that we always have each other’s backs whenever one of us needs help. We work large underground projects that create lasting change, but are never without their complications or problems. We recently caught up with foreman Dennis Bryan who shared this story that we just could not keep to ourselves.

“Everybody is willing to help to get a job done. If you need help, on a job all you have to do is ask any of the other foreman and they will be there with their crew no matter what time it is.

For Example: A few years ago in March, I was working on a 12-inch water main at Channelside and Nebraska. The job was to remove an abandoned in line valve. When we went to take it out, turns out it was not abandoned and the water main broke open. Before we could get it shut off and fixed, it flooded the entire area around the Arena. Left a huge mess that would have taken the entire night to clean up. I made one phone call and every Kimmins foreman was at that site helping clean the mess up. What would have taken me the entire night to clean up; we got done together in 2 hours.

That isn’t typically how things are in this line of work but it is here.”
